Years at the dealership: I have been in the car business for 6 years.
What does your typical day at the dealership look like: A typical day at the dealership includes getting customers financed on their vehicles, getting paperwork ready for deliveries, assisting the sales staff with whatever I can, and most importantly doing the paperwork so that customers can leave in their new vehicle in a timely manner with the protection options that they choose.
How did you get into the Automotive Industry: You could say I was born into the car business.
What are you most proud of throughout your career so far: I am most proud of the work I have done at the Chrysler store. My husband, Tyler and I along with Jason, my dad(Brian), Kelly B. and Krista Z. started the Chrysler store back in 2016 and I am so proud of how far it has come. When we started I didn’t know very much about the car business and the day to day operations and it’s just amazing to look back and see how far we all have come. It truly has been the highlight of my automotive career to work alongside my dad and my husband, it is something I will appreciate for the rest of my life.
What is your favorite part about working a deal: My favorite part of working a deal is to see how each of them comes together. No two deals are the same and it’s always interesting to see the different ways that they all finish up. I also love getting to know the customers.
What does you life look like outside of the dealership: When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and my two dogs, Arlo and Hank. In the summer I like to go for some Wrangler rides. I really enjoy watching a good movie, too!
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know? I love cleaning and organizing my home. I actually get so excited to go through and get rid of things I no longer need or use and declutter. It’s one of my favorite things.
What qualities do you think a great leader must have: I think that a great leader is someone who understand that it is the people they lead that determines the success or failure of whatever it is that is trying to be accomplished whether that is running a successful business, or winning at a team sport. Great leaders surround themselves with people that they can cultivate into competent, confident individuals who can then work well together as a team towards a common goal.
What advice would you give young woman interested in the Automotive Industry? The number one piece of advice I would give a young women interested in the Automotive Industry is to just go for it! Women have so many unique skill sets to bring to the table in this business. I personally have never felt more confident in myself as a professional than I have in this business and I think that the other women I work with in this industry would tell you that they feel the same way. I started off in marketing, moved into sales, and then moved into finance. Along the way I have learned so much about myself as an individual and I’ve developed so many skills that I can use in every aspect of my life.
